Ken and tammy

Owners

We are excited to introduce Ken and Tammy as the new American Leak Detection of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast franchise owners!

Ken, a certified plumber and pool contractor, started with us May 1995 shortly after he received his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University. He was promoted to Director of Operations in 2012.

Tammy graduated with a bachelor's degree from University of Central Florida. Later, she continued her studies and earned her Master's degree from University of Miami. After graduating, Tammy served as an elementary school teacher with the Palm Beach County School District for 15 years. In 2017 she took a break from teaching to become a Full-Time mom to their son, Finn. Tammy has now joined the American Leak Detection team with her husband.

Ken and Tammy enjoy going to sporting events, concerts, and most of all spending quality time with their son.

Alan

Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 2017

Joining the team in February 2017, Alan has extensive experience in problem solving for household issues and he was a fast learner in finding leaks. Although he was born in Miami, Alan traveled extensively growing up. His mother was a “traveling nurse” so he lived in numerous interesting destinations including Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He considers himself an “outdoorsman” and especially enjoys his motorcycle and fishing as well as his “beautiful” pit bull mix, Sarge. When asked what he most likes about working with American Leak Detection he says that he loves being able to help people, it is fun to make a difference by solving people’s problems.

Dan

Joined ALD in 2003

Prior to joining the team Dan had his own pressure cleaning business. In September 2003, after cleaning Karen’s father’s roof, he got recruited to the team. Dan moved to Florida from Pennsylvania in 1998, of course for the weather. While he was still living north he attended Ursinus College to study Business Management. He took up an interesting job as an Anesthesia equipment technician. In his free time, he thoroughly enjoys racing radio controlled gas cars on a quarter mile track that he built himself in his back yard. The best part though is watching his Rottweiler join the race trying to eat the cars! Dan also enjoys lifting weights and checking out those hard earned muscles in the mirror. Well, that last part was a wild guess but he can’t decide whether he likes working his chest or biceps more.

Danny

Joined ALD in 2001

If Danny makes a visit to your pool, you may find yourself trying to guess just where that accent came from. Danny was born and raised in Oldham, England. He came to the states for the sunshine, opportunity, and the friendlier people. Apparently, his expectations were met because he has now been with us since February 2001.

Freddy

Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 1996

Our second longest team member is Freddy who came on board June 1996. Originally from Long Island, this New Yorker decided to move to sunny South Florida back in 1995. It proved to be a good move for Freddy for he found his wife of 13 years and has a beautiful daughter. What might be most interesting about Fred is his passion to collect old and new action figures which are mostly bought and sold in Europe. When it’s too nice to be inside, you can find Freddy cruising on his custom Honda motorcycle.

Neill

Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 2006

Surprisingly, we have another England native, Neill, who came to us from London and started with us December 2006. He moved to the U.S. in 1993 as a youngster. In high school, Neill participated on the wrestling team that has lead to his interest in watching UFC fighting. This extremely demanding sport is not for the faint hearted. If you asked Neill what he likes about himself the most, he would most likely tell you his good looks and exuberant personality.

Tom

Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 2014

Tom is a native south Floridian, born and raised in Palm Beach County. He attended Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, and has worked various interesting jobs, from restoring classic cars, to being an artist at a metal art studio, to managing that studio! In his free time, Tom enjoys boating, fishing, and tinkering on all things mechanical. He's quite the gear head, and loves his Camaro and his motorcycles. Tom has a passion for history and antiques of all kinds. At home, you could find him honing a vintage straight razor or examining a world war two Camel cigarettes advertisement. When it comes to leak detecting, it only comes natural to Tom, A mechanically minded problem- solver.

Kris

Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 2018

Kris is a lifetime local from right here in Jupiter. His hobbies include motorcycles and cooking. He wanted to join ALD because of our great reputation. He also enjoys the challenge of finding leaks and helping people in need.

Jesse

Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 2019

Jesse is from Hagerstown Maryland, a small rural town. After moving to FL in 1995, he worked as an auto mechanic and soon transitioned into the construction industry. Jesse enjoys fishing and golfing in his free time. Jesse has been with us since 2019 and enjoys the challenge of leak detection and helping others.

Adam

Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 2020

Adam joined our team in November 2020. Adam moved to Florida from Wisconsin, where he was a welding fabricator. Although he is a Greenbay Packers fan, he has agreed to cheer for the Dolphins every Sunday. Adam has acclimated to all that Florida has to offer, fishing, day trips to Peanut Island, jet skiing, and kayaking. He is very personable and we have enjoyed getting to know him and having him on our team.

Mark

Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 2021

Mark joined American Leak Detection in May 2021. Mark is a Florida native, born and raised in Jupiter. He comes from a big family, all of who live locally. He is an avid fisherman, dog lover, and he is a big Miami Dolphins fan. Recently he has taken up a new hobby, restoring cars, he is working on a 1994 Toyota 4-Runner. When the Dolphins aren’t playing on Sunday, you can find Mark boating on the Loxahatchee River with his family.

Tracy

Customer Service Representative
Joined ALD in 2018

Tracy came on board in February 2018. It was a super easy decision to add Tracy to the operation. She is a neighbor of Bill and Karen and the initiator of the neighborhood bunco group. Karen had no doubt that Tracy’s bubbly personality would make our customers feel especially welcome! Tracy relocated to Jupiter FL in 2014 with her husband and 17 yr old daughter. Tracy was born and raised in the South and she is very excited to have landed in sunny Jupiter. Tracy has her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and enjoys traveling, gardening, and home decorating.

Jill

Customer Service Representative
Joined ALD in 2016

Jill was born and raised in South Jersey. She and her family moved to Florida in 2015. She graduated from Gettysburg College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and has over ten years of experience with Human Resources and Bookkeeping. Jill enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and being outdoors. She is learning to appreciate the warm Florida weather with her active five-year-old!
